                Welcome to Class!

AP European History is the social studies class for the sophomore Pre-IB students at Spruce Creek High School.  The AP European History course is designed to be a challenging and rewarding course for the high school student who enjoys the study of  history, and who desires to earn college credit through a rigorous academic experience. The course covers the development of Europe from 1450 to the present. European cultural, diplomatic, economic, intellectual, political and social history themes will form the basis of the course.  With regard to those themes, students will be asked to analyze evidence about, and express an understanding of, those themes in writing.

*I know this sounds a little strange, but it's for a timeline project we will be
working on throughout the year. I need about six of them for what I want to
accomplish. It will serve as a visual representation of change over time.
Students will see how periods of history influence activities in others. I'm also hoping they will "see" it in their minds as they sit for the exam in May!
